Plastering is one of the most ancient building techniques. If you are looking for a flexible career with the opportunity to work for yourself, then this Plastering course would be a great start for you.
You will learn how to prepare surfaces, apply scratch coats, fix sheet material and apply setting coat, taught by tutors who have over 20 years of experience teaching with training providers, colleges and in prisons.
We encourage our students to take part in competitions including Skill Build and and inter-college competitions to showcase their skills.
You will also have the opportunity to gain your CSCS card which allows you to work on a building site.
- GCSE grade 2 in English and maths
- Functional Skills Level 1 in English and maths
What will I achieve?
On successful completion of this course you will receive a City & Guilds Level 1 Diploma in Plastering.

Work experience opportunities
You will have the opportunity to work on charity projects or work trials.
English and Maths
We ensure that all of our students have the opportunity to enhance their skills and embed English and maths throughout the course. For example this may include mixing ratios of materials, measuring rooms and calculating how long a job will take to complete.
Where can I progress?
Once you successfully complete this course you will be able to progress onto Level 2 in Plastering or another construction course at Level 1.
