Once your application has been reviewed, you may be invited to attend an interview at Newcastle College University Centre.

If you are a current Newcastle College student and successfully meet the published Level 3 entry criteria in an appropriate subject[s], you will be guaranteed a place on this course.

Applicants are normally expected to have achieved grade 4 (C) or higher in GCSE Maths and English or the Level 2 equivalent (i.e. Functional Skills or Adult Literacy/Numeracy).      

Applicants must be employed in the Science industry in order to complete this course part-time.

At Newcastle College University Centre we welcome applications from students studying new T-Level qualifications.

As part of our work-ready guarantee, you will be supported to achieve Registered Scientist licensiate status, which is awarded by the Royal Society of Chemistry.

You will also have the opportunity to obtain qualifications in IOSHH, manual handling, working at heights and/or MS Office.

Once you have completed this course, you can either progress onto a higher-level qualification, such as a PGCE in Science or a Masters degree in Business or Science, or you can secure a job in the Science industry.
