Who the course is for

The ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management is ideal if you have management responsibilities but no formal training and are serious about developing your abilities.

It’s particularly suited to practicing team leaders seeking to move up to the next level of management, and managers who need to lead people through organisational change, budget cuts or other pressures.

Course Content

The course will consist of two modules:

  • Briefings and Presentations
  • Problem Solving

 

Learning Methods

Supported online learners will have access to our Virtual Learning Environment which provides all course materials and content. Learners can log in at any time as long as they have internet access.

Learners will also have access to a Personal Online Tutor to support them through their studies. Learners will be required to dedicate between 6 – 10 hours flexibly per week.

 

Assessment Methods

During the ILM Level 3 qualification you will be assessed by submission of assignments and case studies to Newcastle College Business Academy. Your work will be assessed, internally and externally verified and submitted to the ILM for certification.

 

Progression Opportunities

After successfully completing the ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management you can progress onto the following courses:

  • ILM L3 Certificate in Leadership and Management
  • ILM L4 Award in Leadership and Management

 

Career Opportunities

Gaining an ILM Level 3 qualification will provide you the opportunity to work in a range of entry level management positions. Having the ILM Level 3 qualification on a CV supports and evidences your ability to manage staff, processes and structures.

 

Entry Requirements

Whilst there are no formal entry requirements, learners must understand that they will be undertaking a Level 3 qualification. It is advisable that learners hold GCSE’s in Mathematics and English or equivalent.

To ensure that you are studying at the correct level we will ask you to complete a diagnostic assessment as part of the enrolment process.
