This course is ideal for those who want to gain the skills and techniques within this rewarding, creative and current area of craftsmanship and design.

Whilst you are on the course you will be introduced to skills such as the stencilling, specific techniques for tattooing, colouring processes and shading for Tattoo artists.

Course Content

All students study:

  • Setting client theme / Brief
  • Illustration styles
  • Illustration techniques
  • Stencilling processes and associated skills


Learning Methods

You will learn a basic introduction to Tattoo Illustration Techniques and the processes involved.

You will receive tutorials and demonstrations in order to develop your skills within this creative area of working.

Assessment Methods

You will put together a portfolio of work evidencing the work you have produced over the duration of the course.

No formal assessment process is involved with this course.

Progression Opportunities

You could continue your studies by progressing to a full time programme of study either across FE or HE in a related subject area.

Alternatlivey you could progress into an apprenticeship in this area of work.

Career Opportunities

You could progress into an apprenticeship within this creative sector.

Entry Requirements

No formal entry qualifications are needed for this course; however an interest in Tattooing, Graphics and Illustration would be advantageous.

If English is not your first language you will also need an English Language test score of 5.5 or above. In addition to this, you will also need to bring with you to interview a portfolio of relevant project work.
