Within this pathway you will develop methods to help you analyse financial management and financial theories in a globalised world of business.
Module: Entrepreneurship (20 Credits) You are provided with the fundamental tools and skills required for creating value as an entrepreneur in a small business. You will identify and assess your own skills as entrepreneurs, discuss the role of entrepreneurs in the economy and society, and assess your skills to develop a small business.
Module: Ethical Management (10 Credits) You will engage in critical debates on ethical issues through a combination of academic study and critical reflection. The skills developed will be relevant to ethical decision-making, problem solving and deeper consideration of issues within both social and personal responsibility.
Module: Financial Management (20 Credits) You will develop a critical understanding of a broad range of contemporary strategic leadership, management and organisational knowledge and use it to appreciate how to develop consistently competitive organisational strategies for an organisation in a globalised business environment.
Module: Management Research Methods (10 Credits) You will be given an introduction to research methods and provided you an overview of the quantitative and qualitative methodologies that are needed in order to successfully carry out a research project (assists Dissertation module).
Module: Strategy & Change (20 Credits) You will gain insights into the factors influencing the formulation and implementation of organisational strategy. These factors will encompass those external to the organisation, such as market structure and demographic changes, and those internal, such as style of leadership and organisation culture.
Module: Dissertation (40 Credits) You will develop skills in research and analysis, in the diagnosis of organisational problems, in the development of strategies to address such problems, and in techniques of data analysis and presentation.
