Overview

Digital video production is an exciting commercial growth area. Our BA Hons top-up course in Audio Visual Production gives you the opportunity to apply your skills to develop, produce and exhibit a ‘commercially viable’ creative video project.

The programme focuses on three key areas of digital film-making: Fictional, Factual and Corporate. At the beginning of the course you will choose one of these pathways to specialise and begin research and idea development. The course is underpinned by practical workshops utilising dedicated, professional video equipment and software to ensure continued skills development toward professional production values. Alongside these workshops you can expect regular 1-1 specialist tutorial support and several contextual based lectures and seminars intended to further enhance your understanding of storytelling and audio visual synergy.

This course has been designed in consultation with professional practitioners and industry partners. Your creative video project will be exhibited with support from our industry network and you will be encouraged to submit to local and national film festivals. If working in corporate production you will develop working relationships with clients that will help lead to future paid work. The course invites guest speakers from industry to talk about their experiences and hold specialist workshops.
