Taster days

Engaging pupils in the College experience

We hold regular taster days throughout the year to engage pupils in the Newcastle College experience. Taster days are usually either a half or full day depending on your school timetable and requirements, and most subject areas are available.

What do we offer?

  • Practical sessions aimed at engaging young people in hands-on learning.

  • Taster sessions give Year 10 and 11 pupils an insight into studying at the College and the chosen subject area that are available.

  • The delivery of a number of taster sessions relating to our range of courses.

  • Pupils will get the chance to take part in practical activities.

  • It also provides an opportunity for pupils to speak to college tutors and hear the thoughts of current Newcastle College students.

  • We can tailor our taster days to the specific subject/s that pupils are interested in.
