Student support

As a student at Newcastle College you are not just a face in the crowd, but an individual and we offer the highest level of help and support to each of our students.
Our student advisers are specially trained to help you with issues such as course choices, financial support and the admissions procedure. They can also provide you with tips about how to manage your money while at college, advise you on travel schemes and how to apply for any additional financial assistance.

Free study and financial assistance

Tuition is free for learners aged 16 – 18 years old and you will continue to be eligible for free tuition for the duration of your qualification. Full time learners aged 16-18 may be eligible to receive £1,200 financial support through our NCMA scheme, please click here for more information. Learning Support Service

Newcastle College offer a comprehensive Learning Support Service that provides support, advice and guidance for students with a wide range of learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Please see the Support section for full information on the different types of support offered depending on a student’s requirement.
