£18m Parsons Building

Parsons Building

We are proud to announce that our new and improved Parsons Building has officially opened its doors to our new intake of students. The £18 million facility has undergone an amazing redevelopment and is home to our business, uniformed public services, health and care, and childcare courses.

The new facilities include:

Student-run shops - Two flexible retail spaces situated on the ground floor for ‘pop-up shops’ which mimic real-work environments.

Learner zones - Two Learner Zones; one for FE & one for HE students. Learner zones are equipped with modern PCs, Wi-Fi and ample seating space.

Social spaces - Every floor has a dedicated break-out space for students to relax and socialise between lessons.

Hospital training wards - Parsons has a whole floor dedicated to healthcare training. Built to the standards of modern hospitals, the healthcare floor has a fully operational hospital reception and four wards with modern equipment.

There are also a five bed ward complete with nurse’s station, a six bed ward with accessible bathroom and electric hoist, a two bed paediatric ward and a two bed intensive care ward.

Childcare training rooms - Dedicated to training learners in nursery and school childcare, there are three large practical teaching spaces complete with children’s furniture and teaching aids. Recreating the work environment of a nursery, our childcare facilities will include nursery, reception, dedicated classrooms, kitchens, a wet zone and changing areas.

Science laboratories - Fully-equipped laboratories dedicated to the delivery of biology, chemistry and physics.

Higher education floor - To cater to the needs of our degree students, Parsons building has a floor dedicated to higher education. Facilities include PC suites, break-out social spaces, meeting rooms and catering services.

Canteen and coffee shops - With a cafe on the ground floor and a canteen with a capacity of 150, Parsons boasts modern facilities serving hot food and snacks.
