The suggested walking route from Central Station to Newcastle College is as follows:

Exit Central Station by the main Entrance/Exit and turn left on Neville Street. Continue along Neville Street keeping the Centre for Life on your left, Neville Street becomes Westmorland Road. At the pedestrian crossing, cross Waterloo Street and continue ahead. At St James Boulevard cross the road using the pedestrian crossing, continue ahead. There is a former garage and car showroom on your left, continue ahead. At the roundabout turn left on to George Street, after approximately 40 metres, turn right, crossing the road (George Street) and walk along Palace Street (there is no street name sign). Directly ahead is Newcastle College.

The suggested walking route from Newcastle College to Central Station is as follows:

Exit the College by the path in front of Mandela Building; cross the Elswick East Terrace and walk along Palace Street. At the end of Palace Street cross the road, George Street, and turn left and walk up the hill, approximately 40 metres. At the roundabout turn right on to Westmorland Road. Continue down Westmorland Road, crossing St James Boulevard at the pedestrian crossing. Continue ahead on Westmorland Road, at the pedestrian crossing, cross Waterloo Street and continue ahead, the Centre for Life is on your right. Continue ahead on Westmorland Road, which becomes Neville Street, until you reach Central Station.
