The Retreat is the Lifestyle Academy's commercial spa area. Update your image, be pampered at the nail bar or be revitalised by one of our many professional beauty treatments.
Unwind, relax and reflect in our fabulous spa
Facilities in this haven include a whirlpool bath, sauna, steam-room and drench shower. Laze on heated mosaic loungers that reside under light therapy panels or drift away in the flotation cubicle.
Work out with the very latest equipment
For those seeking something more energetic head to The Zone, the Lifestyle Academy's very own gym and fitness studio. Exercise in a welcoming stress-free atmosphere or take part in a range of group fitness classes.
Enjoy fine dining
The Chefs' Academy offers the ultimate in fine-dining. Sit back while our supervised students serve up a mouth-watering feast.
For a more informal setting The Bistro is an 80-seat healthy heating venue and a great lunchtime destination for everyone to enjoy.
Based at Newcastle International Airport, at this fantastic facility students work on jets and turbo-prop aeroplanes, as well as a Boeing 737 passenger jet inside a purpose built 12,000m² aircraft hangar.
Based at Wallsend riverside this brand-new facility is a hub for offshore wind and wind technologies.
Based in Walker this huge facility is the place to learn trades including bricklaying, plastering, floor and wall tiling, roofing, scaffolding and more.
Access a state-of-the-art hospital simulation unit that replicates nursing care, paediatric care and life support and get practical experience in health and social care settings.
Facilities incorporate
- light vehicle maintenance facility with two and four post lifting equipment.
- A paint mixing and drive-in spray booth.
– with CAD suite, industry standard subsea engineering equipment, a process control room and class 10,000 clean room.
Experience our dedicated HE Centre, Space, a bar and social area created especially for higher education students. Space boasts all the facilities synonymous with student life, including: a café/bar atmosphere, large multi-use social area with a dance floor, plasma screens and a DJ gallery. On the ground floor you will find 40 PCs all with internet and email access.
Rye Hill House is a gateway to the college's facilities housing the main reception, Student Services, the Cash Office and Exams, giving you access to confidential support provision from an improved base.
We have two libraries with over 80,000 books between them and a wide range of newspapers and magazines. Both of our libraries also have internet access so you can surf the net for that vital piece of research without leaving the campus.
