Metro
The Metro is Newcastle's urban rail system and is the most convenient way to travel around the region. The Metro links Newcastle, Sunderland, Gateshead and the coast with many stops inbetween. There are direct metro links with Newcastle International Airport and Newcastle Central train station.

Approximately five million passengers use this modern international airport every year which has connecting flights to London, Amsterdam, Paris and many other cities throughout the world. The Metro system provides a fast and convenient link to the airport from the city centre. Newcastle College can arrange airport transfers at an additional cost – please contact the International Office for more information.

Newcastle Central train station
Central Station is located only 5 minutes walk from the College's main Rye Hill Campus, providing direct rail links to London, Edinburgh and many other UK cities. There is also a Metro station situated within Central Station from which you can travel to the coast, the airport or many other locations in the region.

Located just over the road from our main Rye Hill Campus, the coach station provides inter-city buses for travel within the UK.
