Foundation Degrees

Over 70 vocational degree courses

A Foundation Degrees is a two-year career focused qualification that is broadly equivalent to the first two years of an Honours Degree. The aim of the Foundation Degree is to provide you with the employment skills and professional knowledge that you will need to work in your chosen sector.

Graduate with work experience and employer contacts

We validate our own Foundation Degrees, meaning that we're able to continually refresh and adapt our curriculum to meet the needs of industry.

By studying a Foundation Degree with us you will benefit from:

  • live briefs and work placement opportunities - to help get you work ready.
  • real working environments - offering a more practical approach to study.
  • employer contacts - vital in helping you to secure employment upon graduation.

After completing your two-year course, you will have acquired a whole range of industry skills to help you advance straight into employment. Alternatively, you may wish to progress onto a one-year Honours Degree (Top-Up) at Newcastle College so that you graduate with a full Honours Degree.
