Higher and Degree Apprenticeships

Newcastle College has a well-established track record of success in delivering apprenticeships over many years. At the College we offer apprenticeships up to Level 6. Our higher and degree apprenticeships have been developed by business and education, to ensure you gain the essential skills and knowledge to excel in your career.

What are higher and degree apprenticeships?

They combine work with study and may include a work-based, academic or combined qualification or a professional qualification relevant to the industry or role that you work in.

Higher apprenticeships are Levels 4 and 5 and are equivalent to a Higher Education Certificate/Diploma or a Foundation Degree. Degree apprenticeships are a Level 6 qualification that provides an opportunity to gain a full bachelor’s degree.
