Our courses within childcare are designed to help you develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in your chosen career path. You’ll learn in
real working environments and have the opportunity to undertake work placements to prepare you employment.

Facilities

You’ll study in our £18 million redeveloped Parsons Building which delivers state of the art learning facilities and real working environments to give you an insight into what’s it’s like to work in the field. 

As a childcare student you’ll have access to:

Childcare training rooms
Specially designed for our children and young person’s students these rooms are dedicated to training students in nursery and school childcare. There are three large practical teaching spaces as well as a nursery, reception, dedicated classrooms, kitchens, a wet zone and changing areas.


Employer Links

You'll benefit from our close links with over 1,000 local schools, day nurseries and other day-care providers. You'll also have the opportunity to pursue your own interests in specialist areas with live projects via our employer links. Previous graduates have secured employment at Barnardos, YMCA, NSPCC and the NHS.
