Cash bursary of up to £1,000
We will be offering a bursary of up to £1,000 to new full-time undergraduate home students who are paying full fees and start their degree studies with us in September 2018. (please see exemptions below). All students will receive a guaranteed bursary of £400 for each year of their studies and some students who meet certain criteria (see below), will also receive an additional bursary amount of £600.
The bursary is available for each year of your course and will help you with the costs associated with studying a degree whether it’s for travel, accommodation, course materials or anything else that helps you with your studies.
Eligibility to receive the full £1000 bursary will be determined by your home address as part of the National Collaborative Outreach Programme or your eligibility for elements of the Student Loan Company’s finance packages (i.e. full maintenance loan) and will be revisited using this criteria annually.
You do not need to apply for this bursary as you will be automatically assessed and you will be notified via email if you are eligible. You will receive 25% payment in December, 25% in February and 50% in May.
The following students will not be eligible to receive a bursary:
- Students transferring from another institution.
- Students whose fees are paid or part paid by an employer or other third party.
- Students from the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Gibraltar or the European Union.
