FREE Employability courses if you receive income related benefits.
Our Employability courses are FREE if you receive Jobseeker's Allowance, Employment Support Allowance or inactive benefits. They will help you develop skills to stand out in the job market and give you the confidence you need to return to work.

Inactive benefits include:
- Income Support
- Housing Benefit
- Council Tax Benefit
- Employment Support Allowance (non work related group)
- Contribution based Jobseeker’s Allowance
- Working Tax Credit
- Pension Credit

Special Offer – courses for just £99
You might be eligible for a course for just £99.
If you are aged 19 years or over, not in receipt of benefits and studying towards your second or more Full Level 2 qualification you may be able to make some big savings and study a course for just £99*.
This means if you already have a Full Level 2 qualification and that includes: GCSEs, O Levels, First Certificates, Extended Certificates, Level 2 Diplomas, NVQ Level 2 a Level 2 Apprenticeship or equivalent you might be eligible. And even if you have a higher level qualification you might still be eligible.
All you pay is a contribution of up to £99 – this could work out as a huge saving.* For more information download our latest Part-Time Guide and check out page 7.
Free and discounted courses
Many courses will be available either free of charge or at a discount if you are:
- aged 19 years or over and in receipt of active benefits:
- Jobseeker’s Allowance
- Employment Support Allowance
- You are aged 19 years or over and intend to study for your First Full Level 2 qualification (GCSEs, BTEC Level 2, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent).
- You are aged 19 to 25 years and intend to study for your First Full Level 3 qualification (BTEC Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- You intend to study for a Skills for Life (literacy or numeracy) course (excludes ESOL).
- You are aged over 19 years and intend to study a Foundation Learning course and do not have any prior Level 2 qualifications.
- You are aged 19 years or over and studying towards your Second or more Full Level 2 qualification.
- You have a single annual income of less than £12,000 or £20,000 for couples.
- If you are in receipt of inactive benefits, intend to study your first Full Level 2 qualification and are seeking employment you may be eligible for free study.
- If you are aged over 25 and studying towards your First Full Level 3 Access to HE qualification i.e. 3 HEFC modules plus toolbox you may pay just £600 in total.
- If you are aged over 25 and studying towards your First Full Level 3 qualification (other than Access to HE) you may pay a discounted rate of just £200.
