Newcastle College’s Power of One campaign was created to tackle the growing issue of unemployment in the region and outlines the significant economic and social benefits that taking on just one young apprentice can bring to a business.
The campaign encourages local employers to contribute and support home-grown talent whilst reaping the many benefits of a Newcastle College apprentice.
Additional support
With Newcastle College you not only contribute to the regional economy but you receive additional support to ensure you maximise the development of your apprentice.
£1500 grant – We are able to offer your business a £1500 grant when you recruit your first apprentice. The scheme, launched by the National Apprenticeship Service aims to provide 40,000 grants to small and medium sized employers, helping them offer young people employment through an Apprenticeship programme. Find out how to access your £1500 grant.
FREE recruitment service - We offer a free recruitment and matching service to all employers that are looking to add apprentices to their business. This involves pre-screening candidates to ensure you find a suitable individual based on your needs.
Post employment support – Once you employ your apprentice, our team will be on hand to monitor their continued development. We’ll conduct regular learner reviews and liaise with you throughout the whole process as well as outlining progression opportunities on completion of their Apprenticeship.
