The course is for people who are looking for a career in the Motor Vehicle Body Repair Industry.  For candidates that currently hold an Accident Repair Paint Principles (VRQ)
Level 2 Diploma.

Course Content

You will:

  • Carry out complete vehicle refinishing operations
  • Mix and match vehicle paint colours
  • Identify and rectify vehicle paint defects and faults


 

Learning Methods

You will undertake a mixture of workshop practical activities and classroom Technology sessions.

Assessment Methods

Assessment for this award is a combination of Practical Assessments and a multiple choice on-line examination.

Progression Opportunities

You could progress to gain employment within the Accident Repair Industry with an Apprenticeship.

Career Opportunities

You could gain employment within the Motor Vehicle Accident Repair Industry.

Entry Requirements

Candidates will be expected to be in possession of a Level 2 automotive qualification.  If English is not your first language, you will also need an IELTS score of 5.0 or above

Course Costs

You will be expected to supply your own suitable boiler suit and safety footware with chemical resistant soles and protective toe cap.

Additional Course Costs

16 to 18s

Tuition is free for learners aged 16 to 18. A learner will continue to be eligible for free tuition for the duration of their qualification, this includes Year 2 of a qualification if the learner was aged 16-18 when they started in Year 1. Additional financial support may also be available for full-time learners, please call our Student Services team on 0191 200 4000 for more information.
