Learning Methods

You will undertake a mixture of workshop practical activities and classroom Technology sessions.

Assessment Methods

Assessment for this award is a combination of Practical Assessments and a multiple choice on-line examination.

Progression Opportunities

You could progress to an IMIAL Level 2 Diploma in Accident Repair Paint Principles or gain employment within the Paint Repair Industry with an Apprenticeship.

Entry Requirements

There are no specific entry requirements, but you will be required to attend an interview which will include a diagnostic test and you will also need to complete an satisfactory induction period.

If English is not your first language, you will also need an IELTS score of 5.0 or above

Course Costs

You will be required to supply your own safety boots and suitable boiler suits. (Safety boots must be Chemical resistant and with a safety toe cap)

Additional Course Costs

16 to 18s

Tuition is free for learners aged 16 to 18. A learner will continue to be eligible for free tuition for the duration of their qualification, this includes Year 2 of a qualification if the learner was aged 16-18 when they started in Year 1. Additional financial support may also be available for full-time learners, please call our Student Services team on 0191 200 4000 for more information.
