What are National Tests?

The National Tests are national qualifications which can be taken for English and maths.
They can be achieved at two levels. Level one (equivalent to GCSE grade D – G) and Level two (equivalent to GCSE grade A – C).

How do I prepare for a National Test?

We will help you prepare for the tests, whether you require just a few hours practice or up to 72 hours worth of tuition – it’s all FREE

When can I study for or take a National Test?

You can begin tuition at any point during the year, with flexible study times to fit around your lifestyle.

Where can I study for or take a National Test?

We offer National Test tuition at a number of venues including:

  • Rye Hill Campus, Newcastle
  • Raby Street, Byker
  • West End College, John Marley Centre, Newcastle

Why should I take a National Test?

A National Test qualification in either English or maths can:

  • Show employers the level of English and maths that you are able to work at.
  • Be used to update previous English or maths qualifications.
  • Help you access courses in further education, training and some universities.
