An apprenticeship offers learners a job with substantial training and the development of transferable skills. They are a perfect way for people of all ages to earn while they learn, gaining a qualification and a career. 

Learners who choose to study a higher or degree apprenticeship have the opportunity to combine working while studying for a work-based academic or vocational high-level qualification.

What are degree and higher apprenticeship? 

They combine work with study and may include a work-based, academic or combined qualification or a professional qualification relevant to the industry or role that you work in. Higher apprenticeships are Levels 4 and 5 and are equivalent to a Higher Education Certificate/Diploma or a Foundation Degree. Degree apprenticeships are a Level 6 qualification that provides an opportunity to gain a full bachelor’s degree.
