You can still enrol with us!
Whether you are leaving school, looking for a part-time course to improve your skills or you want a course that could help you get back into employment, you can still enrol with Newcastle College.
We offer a wide range of courses to suit all individuals including:
- Full-time vocational courses, A Levels and the IB for 16-18 year olds
- NEW Employability courses, which are FREE if you are in receipt of Jobseeker’s Allowance
- NEW Part-Time courses – choose from beginners to advanced
- HE Access courses – ideal for mature learners who would like to take their learning higher
- The widest range of Apprenticeship opportunities in the North East

How to enrol
16-18 Full-Time learners
If you are aged 16-18 and are looking to start a full-time course in September then come along to see one of our friendly advisers in Rye Hill House reception who will be able to help you with your enrolment. When you come to enrol with us, please bring along with you any relevant exam results and supporting identification that is outlined at the bottom of this page.
Adult Part-Time
If you’ve identified the course that you’d like to study and it is marked with a telephone symbol in our part-time guide you can call us on 0191 200 4000 and one of our advisers will be able to take you through the enrolment process. If it is marked with a person symbol then please come along to see one of our advisers in Rye Hill House reception.
Full-Time Higher Education
If you’re looking to start a full-time Higher Education course in September 2011 you’ll need to apply via UCAS. Further information on the spaces we have available and the process is available here.
Part-Time Higher Education
The quickest way to get your application in is to use our online application form; or call 0191 200 4000, speak to one of our friendly advisers who will be able to advise on the best way to apply for your course.

Enrolling on your course
The Learner Records Service requires all learners to verify their identity when they enrol on a course, therefore, when you come to our enrolment event you will need to bring original copies of ONE of the following documents with you.
- Passport
- Photo driving licence
- Armed Forces service ID
- National Insurance Card
- Certificate of Entitlement to Funding
- Bank Credit/Debit Card
- Utility Bill
- Your Newcastle College Student ID Card (if applicable)
