The Retreat is the Lifestyle Academy's commercial spa area. Update your image, be pampered at the nail bar or be revitalised by one of our many professional beauty treatments.
Unwind, relax and reflect in our fabulous new spa
Facilities in this haven include a whirlpool bath, sauna, steam-room and drench shower. Laze on heated mosaic loungers that reside under light therapy panels or drift away in the flotation cubicle.
Work out with the very latest equipment

The Chefs' Academy offers the ultimate in fine-dining. Enjoy spectacular views of the city in an intimate setting. Sit back while our supervised students serve up a mouth-watering feast.
For a more informal setting The Bistro is an 80-seat healthy heating venue and a great lunchtime destination for everyone to enjoy.
Brand-new £3.3 million Aviation Academy
Based at Newcastle International Airport, this fantastic facility was officially opened in March 2009. Here students will be able to work on jets and turbo-prop aeroplanes, as well as a Boeing 737 passenger jet inside a purpose built 12,000m² aircraft hanger. This is one of the largest training schools in Europe.
Welcome to Space...
Experience our dedicated HE Centre, Space, a bar and social area created especially for higher education students. Space boasts all the facilities synonymous with student life, including: a café/bar atmosphere, large multi-use social area with a dance floor, plasma screens and a DJ gallery. On the ground floor you will find Café I.T which is home to 40 PCs all with internet and email access. You can also take advantage of a cup of coffee or freshly made bagel, while you work. Student support all under one roof
The £8 million redevelopment of Grade II listed Rye Hill House represents a new gateway to the college's facilities housing the main reception, student services, finance and exams, giving you access to confidential support provision from an improved base.
Café I.T. - check your email and get a bite to eat
Home to 40 PCs, all with internet access, Café I.T. is open to all our students. You can also take advantage of a steaming cup of coffee or a freshly made bagel or muffin when you are feeling peckish.
Hit the books in our library and learning resource centres
We have three libraries with over 125,000 books between them and a wide range of newspapers, magazines, photocopiers and CD-ROM equipment. All of our libraries also have internet access so you can surf the net for that vital piece of research without leaving the campus!
