Get Qualified to Teach

Get Qualified with a PGCE

Teaching is a great career choice for graduates who want to pass on their passion! It's not too late to enrol  on a post-graduate teaching qualification that will equip you to teach your degree subject in a range of settings including schools, sixth forms and colleges. These are Masters level qualifications which lead to achievement of Qualified Teacher status (QTLS) and generous bursaries are available to help you cover the cost of tuition fees and study costs!

We offer four different routes to qualify to teach with a PGCE:

  • Young People and Adults
  • English, Literacy and ESOL
  • Maths and Numeracy
  • Learning Difficulties and Disabilities (Special Educational Needs)

Our PGCE programmes fully meet the requirements for Initial Teacher Training for the post compulsory sector and leads to achievement of QTLS. Candidates with QTLS have parity of esteem with holders of secondary QTS and can be employed in schools.

Up to £25,000 bursary is available, depending on eligibility criteria and your subject choice, click here to find out how much support you could receive.
